A LETTER TO MY VALENTINE

  Dear Besty,

You know the saying "our experiences shape our lives? I think kelly Oram said this... well she is right. 

I remember our first Vals day. That night you pranked me lol! Was very romantic and lovely. Did I say romantic? Ewww!! It was evil❤️ lol! Then two days later on our outing still in the spirit of Val's day I lost my dad n, yeah the plants n flowers withered. A lovely day turned into a sad and painful day, week and month. The month of February was soured, was dark and hurtful to me. Due to this experience, I hated Val's day and I said I never wanna celebrate Vals day again 🥺. And then you gave me a kiss on my forehead and said “ I promise to make every other day feel like Val's day then “ .....and you have lived up to that promise ever since my love. Anyway, this isn't the message of this piece. you know how you make my everyday feel like Val's day? well, I get to do the same from now on too because our dads decided to kick the bucket the same week and month😔 . Aren't our dads just evil ( in our beautiful way)? We have always spoken about death and how inevitable it is but little did we know that it would shape our Val's day experience and life. to be honest I love that every day to us is Val's day except Val's day.  I look at the similarities in our lives and it baffles me sometimes. 

It's Val's day, it's Val's month but to us, it's a painful one that will definitely pass and I cannot wait for the next 364 days; our actual VALS DAYS. To our dads; Daddy Martin and Daddy Daniel you both better have a good explanation for this. we love you both and we miss you dearly. you inspired us to love and you both showed us how dearly you loved your wives our mums ( our Graces). We are forever grateful for how much you did to bring us this far and for all the teachings and coaching you gave us. we are sad not because we expected you to live forever (for we will all die) but because we love you immensely and it hurts so much to lose you both the same month.

To you my best friend and lover, my Chickito! your flowers and chocolate and more kisses ( I mean PS5, and more of Ted Danson movies like " the good place" lol!) will be here for you on our actual vals days which isn't Val's day. I love you besty.

 When I call you my best friend, some might think I mean 'let your husband be your bestfriend Kinna thing' but no not at all . When I say Besty, I mean my best friend, that person that from the start I saw and thought of as a high school boy that wanted to just chat with me 😀😀, the small boy that was always in shorts and T-shirts. when I call you best friend I mean that guy that slowly charmed me with his humility and personality, when I call you best friend, I mean that friend that was there when I had friends and when I lost friends. ONCE UPON A TIME ON A TRIP TO FRANCONNIA ......

Our next trip took us to  Franconia, a beautiful town in Mid to Northern New Hampshire. It is a little town with a rich and fascinating history, lots of things to do and lots of places to go. Our first stop was the Cannon Mountain Ski Area. The Cannon Mountain Ski Area is  a state-owned ski resort located on Cannon Mountain  in the White Mountains of New Hampshire  United States. Cannon is located within Franconia North Scotch Park  and offers 10 lifts servicing 265 acres (1.07 km 2 ) of skiing (168 with snowmaking). Cannon has 23 miles (37 km) of trails and a north-northeast exposure and has the only aerial tram  in New Hampshire.
